Hello everyone!!!

I hope you guys all had a great Easter!

This last Sunday I had the opportunity to give a talk in sacrament meeting and it was really good. It was my first talk in a sacrament meeting in Portuguese and it was better than I thought it would be haha. After church was over we baptized Giovanna!

Giovanna is a 12 year old girl here in the area that decided this Sunday was the best time for her to be baptized because of the significance of what the Saviour did for us. She is super strong in the Gospel and I am excited to see her grow!

I know that in the past I have talked to you guys about the pizza here and how good it is but I decided to take a picture of the chocolate stuffed crust to show you guys how hard core this pizza is!

I have been studying this last week how to teach more simply with similes and metaphors to help people understand more easily the Gospel of Christ. I have seen the difference in how people have been paying attention and understanding what I am saying.

I hope all of you have a great week and remember Christ and what he has done for us throughout the year and not just this past weekend!

With love and support, Elder Meyers!

If you guys have any questions feel free to send an email!

Hello Everyone!!

This last week has been really good but I am running out of time with internet so I am going to cut this short(er than normal). This past week my companion and I have found a lot of new people to teach and it has been going great. We have 3 families we have been teaching and they all have young kids that are super cute.

This last week I have been studying a lot of the new testament and memorizing scriptures of the old and new testament. It will be weird when I get home and will only have scriptures memorized in another language.

I have some photos to send and a couple of them are photos of 6 months in the mission! I dont actually hit 6 months for another week but my companion hit 6 months and I decided to take photos for as well lol.

I love you guys and hope everyone has an awesome week filled with joy and happiness.

By the way this is a LIME :O

Hello Everyone!!

This last week has been great and I am excited for this next one. This town and area is awesome and I am happy to get the interior of Brazil experience. It is a lot different than the capital area I was in area and it is a lot more calm here.

This last week I picked some fruit at a member's house and they are like apples but they are orange and I can eat them! They are called Khaki in English.

I hope you all have been great and had the opportunity to watch general conference this weekend I really enjoyed it and the talks that the authorities of the church gave.

I will try and email with more info next week.
I love all of you.

April 1, 2019

Hello Everyone,

One more week in the books and only everything has changed. This last week I had the opportunity to go to the São Paulo temple on Tuesday and when I got there I had the chance to see friends from other areas and when President Ribeiro showed up he told me that I was going to transfer the following day to the other side of our mission (4 hours with bus) and that I needed to go back to my area pack my bags and head to the mission office that night after I was done at the temple. The temple is around 2 hours away with train and I went back to my area packed up and then that night hopped back on the trains to head to the mission office which is around two and a half hours away. I am now in the town of Capão Bonito, way in the farmland of the state of São Paulo. I am with my 5th companion so far in the mission and his name is Elder Maciel. He is a good mishionary and I have learned a lot from him.

For my item of mouth watering goodness this week I would like to talk about Tuiubaina which is a brand of soda that they have here in the interior of São Paulo. It is very good and really cheap. A liter of it costs me less than one american dollar and I have drank quite a bit of it so far.

This last week I have been focusing my study on the Christ like attributes of meekness and diligence. Two different attributes but both very important for the work I am here to do.

I know that if I try more to be like Christ it will be easier to represent him here in the mission.

I hope all of your have an awesome week.

Hello everyone!!

I hope everyone has had an awesome week. Back home I hear it has finally started to warm up. Here in São Paulo it hasn't gotten cold yet(I am still holding on to hope that one day it will). My new companion and I have been working hard and getting along well.

This last week I had the opportunity to Baptize Ricardo! He is a kid from a less active family that moved here from Peru and my companion and I are helping them return to church. They are great and I love them and everyone else here in my área so much!

I have seen so many miracles and blesings here in the mission so far and am so excited to see more! I have seen the power of the priesthood and I have had the opportunity to be a part of it here in the mission many times.

I know I know, last week I didnt talk about food, but this week i have a treat for you!... Sonho's!! They are this sweet bread filled with cream and they are my new weakness.

This weak I have been trying to study and focus on how I can be a better companion. I haven't really been a bad companion lol, but I believe we can always be better.  I have been trying to stay humble and serve as much as I can. I know that if we strive to do this with our relationships we will argue less and love more.

With love and Support
